About the audio files' formats

The streaming audio files are in Ogg format. It has been choosen because it's a free format (free in the sense of freedom and in the sense of being given away) and because of the quality of it's compression (the sound quality, from a human perspective, is nearly as good as the original uncompressed file).

The downloadable audio files here are in the FLAC format. It has been choosen because it's also a free format (idem) and because it's compression is lossless (the sound quality is as good as the original uncompressed file).

All recents and widely used operating systems read natively the FLAC format since 2017 for the last of them. If, however, you are experiencing problems to read it, know that there are free softwares (idem) that can read this format anyway and that are quite easy to find.
